Community Outreach

Interested in seeing how you can be involved in reaching the community of Gainesville? Our goal is to try and reach at least 10,000 residents of Hall County, Georgia.  But how do we do that?  It is going to take two things...prayer...and YOU!

Here are some of the outreach activities that you can get involved in:

Bell Minor Singing Ministry - Every 2nd Saturday afternoon, a group of members visit our local nursing home to sing and fellowship with the residents and staff.  Several groups join up to form a singing group accompanied by live instruments.  We supply the songbooks, you supply the voice.

Chamber Chase 5K - the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce sponsors a 5K Run/Walk each year to promote healthy living. Our church hosts a corporate team each year along with a booth at the finish line.

Family Promise - our church is one of many in Hall County that hosts homeless families in our community for a week at a time.  Four times a year we open our doors to help those in need through food, shelter, and fellowship.

Mule Camp Days - years ago the City of Gainesville was known as Mule Camp Springs.  Each fall, the downtown square hosts a mercantile festival of street vendors, live music, and a midway.  Our church sponsors a booth in which we give out books and bottled water along with offering free health screenings.

Vacation Bible School - each summer we open our doors for 5 days for kids to learn about Jesus through games, stories, prayer, and fun.  All volunteers are required to pass a routine background check.
